The purpose and goal of the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office - Detective Division is to develop expertise in the field of Criminal Investigation and to work with agency personnel in the following types of incidents:

• Serious Personal Injury & Fatal Motor Vehicle Accidents
• Narcotics Enforcement
• Alleged Child Sexual & Physical Abuse
• Suspicious Fires/ Arson
• Felony Level Crimes
• Welfare Fraud
• Sex Offender Register
