The Sheriff’s Office - “HEAT” Team ( Hazardous Entry & Arrest Team) consisted of Deputies that have received specialized training in the execution of “No-Knock” search warrants, high profile building searches and hostage situations.
In June 2016, the Chenango County Sheriff's Office joined resources with the Madison County Sheriff's Office, to form a Multi-County Special Operations Unit (SOU) for specialized response capabilities when requested by either County.
