Visitation Schedule


The Chenango County Correctional Facility conducts inmate visitation on SATURDAYS and SUNDAYS.


Visitation begins at 8:00 A.M. each day and will commence and continue until all the visits are complete.


Inmates will be allowed two - one hour visitation periods per week with a maximum of two visitors per visitation period.


One-hour extra visitation will be given for facility workers, and inmate workers on Wednesday evenings beginning at 7:00 P.M.




Visitor Registration


Visitors will call in to register with the Lobby Officer at (607) 337-1967, Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. for Saturday and / or Sunday visitation time.  Visitors registering for a Wednesday visit will also call in and register with the Lobby Officer during the above scheduled hours.


All visitors will register and sign in 15 minutes prior to the assigned visitation period.


Visitors must provide a current government issued identification card with photo each day that they wish to visit.

Eligible Visitors


Adults age 18 and over may register to visit any inmate.


Minors (17 and under) are required to register in the presence of their custodial parents or legal guardian.


The custodial parent will be required to provide a birth certificate or court document proving their status as parent or legal guardian and remain with the minor throughout the entire visit.


If a non-custodial adult wishes to bring a minor into the visitation room, the following procedure must be followed.  A custodial parent must accompany the child and the non-custodial adult to the visitation registration and provide written documentation of their permission to allow the non-custodial adult to accompany the minor during the visit and provide a birth certificate or court document proving their status as parent or legal guardian.  The non-custodial adult will remain with the minor throughout the entire visit.




Ineligible Visitors


Any visitor who is intoxicated or under the influence of alcohol or any drug, or who presents an unsanitary condition (odor, dirty, etc.) may be denied visitation privileges.


Any visitor not adhering to the dress code will not be allowed to enter the facility.  (External link opens in new tab or windowClick here for the dress code)


Any visitor that cannot provide current government issued identification card with photo will not be allowed to enter the facility.


Any visitor that is not at registration 15 minutes prior to the assigned visitation time will not be allowed to enter the facility.
